Friday, July 31, 2009 Action in town
Klaus tonight at Starbucks waiting for some smoothie or whatever that stuff is called. This long weekend is full of action and packed with visitors. Vancouver is hosting the World Police & Fire Games which has about 12,500 participants. That's more than the Olympics... The firehouse on our street is all polished and the little garden outside well kept to welcome firefighters from around the globe. Furthermore it is Gay Pride week with the big parade on Sunday. That event too brings visitors from near and far. Oh and tomorrow is the finale of the Celebration of Light fireworks. All this action always brings a lot of people from the village into town. They have little culture and sophistication and usually behave like a bunch of idiots. The sky was ORANGE! Too bad I already had something to drink and was not able to hop in the car and go down to Stanley Park or across Cambie Bridge to take some pictures. This one was taken from our office window.
This image was taken on Wednesday evening. I went a bit too early.

We went to see "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3". Made me want to go back to New York again. [ back to top ] Wedding Anniversary & Canada Day, 2009 Coffee for two
This is how I order my coffee: a tall Pike please. This is how I order Klaus' coffee: I hand the barrista a note. Kind of like a bank robber...
Married for 15 years.
Oh come on Klaus, share your breakfast!
Same as last year we had dinner at Goldfish Pacific Kitchen. [ back to top ] |
About 2012
2011 2010 2009 2008 2007 Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
