So Starbucks it is.

Lecture

So I went to this lecture on how to improve your photography for blogging. A few minutes in my phone vibrates. I thought it may be Klaus calling. But it was a text from Leeanne.
llb: that guy talking now is sooooo full of himself. jesus. you are 5 times the photographer he is!!!
moi: is it online? Thank you for the compliment. Very dear to me.
llb: yes. watching him drone on about "me, me, me."
moi: lol
llb: ... fuck, i just really do not like him.
moi: he is very Ontario. We rule the world, fuck the rest.
...
llb: yes. totally centre of the world behaviour. fucking idiot.
moi: I have not learned a thing yet. Thank god parking was free ;)
llb: Omg! I've taken better photos 20 yrs ago. Sorry, I have to log off now. He is a fake, a sham.
...
After Leeanne logged off, things got even better. Cyclist guy shows up late and taps into the studio with his cycling shoes. He eventually decides to sit next to me. Oh please NO! He wore those sexy work out shorts from the 80-ties, smelled of sweat and beer. A few minutes in he starts taking pictures with his iPhone. Of course he has that stupid look-I-am-taking-a-picture-with-my-iPhone-now sound on. I wanted to give him THE look and then I see that he is taking pictures of himself. WTF!? Then his darn phone rings and he taps outside, where he seems to yell into the phone. Eventually he comes back. At that time the speaker had changed and the new guy talked about web development. Things I know since the late 90-ties. That's when my neighbour turned into Mr. Know-it-all. He had a comment to contribute to everything. Ok, that's it. I am leaving!

Beatty Street

These so far are my favorite images from our six locations and outfits we shot. I just love the vibrancy of colour and those blue pants.

At the McMillian Space Centre (Gerald Hamilton did it, 1968)

I was here with Leeanne on Thursday night for an evening with Greg Gorman and fell in love with the building. 17 years in Vancouver and I have only seen it from afar. So Petra and I went there for a photoshoot.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
