This week's Photo Friday challenge - Identity [ back to top ] Saturday, July 11, 2003 and January 1, 2004 
The first Photo Friday challenge for 2004 - Best of 2003 I think this was the best photo I shot. The above image was also used as an entry for: Symmetry last July. I chose this shot of a Calla Lily, my favorite flower. It is always interesting to browse through other people's Photo Friday entries. This week though I have the feeling that a lot of the entries do not really meet the requirements. With many pictures I have a very hard time pointing out the symmetry even with a large allotment of artistic freedom... Symmetry: Exact correspondence of form and constituent configuration on opposite sides of a dividing line or plane or about a center or an axis. [ back to top ] Wednesday, July 2, 2003 2010 Yesterday was Canada Day, but today is for many here in Vancouver a much more significant day. A few minutes ago the IOC announced that Vancouver and Whistler will host the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. I never had the games in my neighborhood and am very exited about this happening in seven years from now. I think Vancouver will be a great host city with a lot of enthusiasm behind it.
