Exabytes in Malaysia. By the way: I really hope three will be the charm for Calla Photo... [ back to top ] Monday, April 26, 2004 Web site hosts For a web site owner a reliable and affordable host is very important. Of all the web sites that I have, two are too large or have too much traffic to host it here on our development server. The Christmas Magazine is hosted for several years now with Geo Hosting. They are absolutely fantastic. Calla Photo was first hosted with Nevidia. I was not impressed with their constant downtime. Then they always blamed the downtime on our code. They are also good at charging for services one never ordered. That just does not make any sense whatsoever, as the development site on our server never crashes. After half a year I had enough and moved the site to some fly-by-night outfit called Data Packet Networks. They suck even more. The web site is down for 24 hours now and now way to reach anybody either by phone or via email. I will look for a new host tomorrow. [ back to top ] Easter, 2004 Happy Easter!
