Wednesday, February 25, 2004 The air traffic controller An air traffic controller was on shift one fatal night in July of 2002, when a Russian plane and a DHL freighter crashed in mid air. He and his colleague were responsible for the safety of the air space where the tragedy happened. Seventy one people died, among them forty five children. The air traffic controller in question was a father of three, and only thirty six years old. How does one go on with life after such a traumatic event? How does one raise children in such a state of mind without destroying their childhood. On Tuesday night the air traffic controller was murdered. The police suspect it was an act of revenge by a family member who lost a loved one almost two years ago. How will the children of the air traffic controller go on from here?
