While Maple dog is taking our place apart, Hallo u. guten Tag, [ back to top ] Sunday, November 28, 2004 eBay I just purchased a book that sells for EUR 19,90 on amazon.de for a sweet EUR 1,99. That is cool. I also bought some vintage Jerry Cotton crime stories... Got another one! amazon.de wants EUR 14,90 I bought it for EUR 3.63. Here's the thing, take your amazon wishlist and search for those titles on eBay. [ back to top ] Wednesday, November 24, 2004 Christmas cards While the Christmas Magazine is finished since October for the 2004 season, I have yet to start shooting our Christmas cards. I will do that right now and hopefully have a great subject by the end of the day. Examples of the subjects:

It was extreme hard labour, now worth every minute of it. The floor looks just beautiful! Proud we are! Oh, and thanks to our neighbors for their patience! The table saw on the balcony was the perfect sound effect for any horror movie. The next project will be updating and maximizing the space in our small galley kitchen. That should be no problem. [ back to top ] Saturday, November 13, 2004 Great musical and for a change not written by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Klaus at 20.01: "OK, let's rock and roll. We have places to go." [ back to top ] Monday, November 1, 2004 Tree killers in Vancouver Borrowed from the Globe and Mail The people who live along Beach Avenue in Vancouver started wondering about the trees across the street when they noticed tiny holes drilled into their trunks last winter. Even more puzzling for residents of the expensive waterfront neighborhood, the five trees didn't sprout many leaves this spring. Some of them appeared to be dying. Rumours swirled about what might have happened, and the intrigue only deepened on Friday when police arrived at the $1.7-million condominium of June Matheson, a well-known interior designer, and arrested her in connection with the case of the ailing trees. "There's a sense in the neighborhood of pure schadenfreude," said one of Ms. Matheson's neighbour, using the German word for delight in the misfortune of others. Ms. Matheson is a prominent figure among those who frequent upscale boutiques. Her shop, J Interiors (2213 Granville Street), is reportedly visited by people such as actress Goldie Hawn and singer Sarah McLachlan. The designer has not been charged with any crime, and nobody answered her home telephone yesterday... This is not the first story about wealth and trees colliding in Vancouver. Discount-department-store (Army & Navy Department Store Ltd) mogul Jacqueline Cohen paid a $50,000 settlement to the Greater Vancouver Regional District and apologized after a stand of old oaks was chopped down near her home in 1997.
