The rest of my life
Ivo's Notes The lazy reader

Thursday, April 28, 2005 Oh what a day...! The day started with a night of not having had enough sleep due to the expectation of a stressful day. Before I had to leave for work, I tested once more the newsletter tool for a client. I had a meeting at 3:30 PM with her and was scheduled to explain the use of the tool. To my big shock the tool did not properly insert the source code for uploaded images. Totally frantic I tried everything including uploading the tool from the weekly back up drive. (Yes, we have back ups now...) Nothing worked. Once at work I noticed the May schedule is posted. Since there was a large screw up, not my fault but rather due to my co-worker's laziness, I was expecting a lot of angry people to question it. Well it turned out ok today. I only had three people, out of about 250, approach me and ask a question. After work I rushed out to Shaughnessy via Granville street. That was a dumb move. I was stuck in traffic all the way on Granville and then on 41st. Needless to say I arrived late. (Klaus don't read this: I still have no cell phone to call and advise of my tardiness...) Now throughout the day I was thinking about how to bypass the newsletter tool's current flaw without looking totally incompetent. As I arrived at the client's, she tells me, that her Internet connection just went down. COOL! I was so exhausted but relieved. On the way home I went to Thomas Hobbs and bought some flowers. Photographing them relaxes me enormously. Once back home I walked little Dos Pesos, fed him, and did some work for another client as the little dog starts barking. As I go and check to see what the heck is wrong, I find him standing next to his food bowl, basically trying to tell me, that he wants more food.
The day is almost over. It's Klaus' turn to cook tonight. I already took a few good images. All is well... [ back to top ] Sunday, April 24, 2005 This is it...!?
Every time we have a celebration, we seem to be using native symbolisms to advertise our heritage and diversity. In a way I find this curious as we don’t seem to be making this effort in our day-to-day life. So are we just remember and honor the natives when we have something to celebrate? [ back to top ] Thursday, April 21, 2005 Cool job It's pretty cool to be able to take the rented dog Dos Pesos to work when I have office duty. But then, I never asked anybody, I just bring him... [ back to top ] Friday, April 15, 2005 Aeschbi I had to send him some feedback about his TV show which I love and watch on my PC. To my great surprise he took the time to respond. The past three nights I have tried to perfectly capture falling rose pedals. It's not that easy. But I managed to end up with a few good shots. [ back to top ] Wednesday, April 6, 2005 Ooh the elite...! Wanting to be a responsible car owner, I bought an anti-theft system from BCAA. Part of the cost is the installation. But finding a garage who instals the system into a BMW seems to be a whole new story... [ back to top ] Saturday, April 2, 2005 Pope John Paul II
