Wednesday, March 30, 2005 Car shopping - the result 
BMW 318i, 1995 I love this piece of German engineering! It has 180'000 km and was $10'500. [ back to top ] Tuesday, March 29, 2005 Car shopping III As I am about to pick up my "new" car, I have to post an image of my very first German car. I received this model from my brother Ivo for Christmas in 1985. 
I did not sleep a lot last night as I was just way too exited of getting such a beauty of car today. I hope the BCAA report is not too bad. Otherwise of course the deal is off, way off. So, now I should do some more work, after all I am broke... [ back to top ] Saturday, March 26, 2005 Car shopping II We found my car! It's still on the lot as we tried to haggle over the price. It's now up to BCAA to give a clear inspection. And of course it can still happen that somebody walks into the dealership early Monday morning and buys my car. My new car is a black BMW 318i, '95. Just gorgeous! I am really glad I don't have to buy a car more often. The minute one steps onto the lot of a dealership, some vulture comes right after you trying to get you to buy a car right there and then. [ back to top ] Friday, March 25, 2005 Car shopping I Since the time has come for me to replace my car, I decided to shop for one today. I expected to bring a new vehicle home today. Well it did not quite turn out that way. We drove first to Richmond to the Kia dealership. They were closed, but had this nice looking Rio on their lot. Then we drove to New West for another Kia. This one was ok too, just nothing special and the sales guy was even less special... And on the way home we stopped in Burnaby. That's where I saw this most beautiful dark green '96 Saab 900 convertible. Just a beauty! But it cost more than I am willing to dish out. So we decided to test drive two BMW's 318 and after that we went home to think about all we saw. [ back to top ] Wednesday, March 23, 2005 Watch and record I love technology! Tonight I had to record a show for Klaus. During dinner I did not want to start watching it half way through. So I pressed the "play" button on the DVD player. I was able to watch the show from the start while the recorder still kept on saving the remaining part onto hard drive. The machine also burns DVD's. Absolutely cool! [ back to top ] Thursday, March 10, 2005 My Chevy Today I just about made it onto the airport parking lot when the car stopped working. I had to push it a few meters onto a spot. After work I called BCAA for help. Once the guy with the massive truck arrived, he asked me if there is any gas in the tank. Hello! I feel insulted! Then he opened the hood and said: I see the problem, do you see it too? Em, no! That's why I called you...! Once again I thought this is the end of my little Chevy and it turns out that some plug was unplugged. [ back to top ] Wednesday, March 9, 2005 Focus
