We left the house at 9PM to go for a drink on Grandville Island. [ back to top ] Monday, July 17, 2006 Monday morning
As I drove into the parking lot at work today I saw KLM still parked here. Yesterday's flight did not leave as the captain had food poisoning and no replacement was found. Good thing I had office duties today... [ back to top ] Saturday, July 15, 2006 Deep Cove ![]() ![]()
Kayaking on Salmon Arm
[ back to top ] Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Parking I always took a very liberal approach to park my car. That started back in the days in New Hampshire when I first learnt to drive a car. This morning I parked the left side of my car on the line. Since the area, where I parked was not very busy, I just left it. As I came back after work, there was a car parked on the left. This made it impossible for me to enter the car by the driver side... I hope nobody saw me entering and then crawling across to the driver side... I have little hope that I will change my parking habits. [ back to top ] Sunday, July 2, 2006 Koala Motorsport - BEWARE! I was looking to buy a manual for my car online. On my search I found what I was looking for on the website of Koala Motorsport. When I received the manual, I was extremely angry when I saw the inferior product that was sent to me. It was a cheap photocopy of an original. But nevertheless Koala Motorsport charges US$28.40 for a copied book. I have sent the book back as I am not willing to pay full price for something that is not an original. Needless to say I was only refunded a fraction of the money I have spent. Quote from the website of Koala Motorsport: All literature and manuals sold by Koala Motorsport are original, factory-produced BMW products. These are not photocopies, duplications or so-called 'licensed' digital copies. That's just a bunch of BS! Beware! One thing I always do is contact the local Better Business Bureau and pass on my experience. [ back to top ] Saturday, July 1, 2006 Canada Day, Portugal Day, no France Day It was Canada Day, Portugal and France both made it into the semi finals of the World Cup. After the win of Portugal Commercial Drive was a sea of Portuguese flags supported with car after car honking. Two hours later France won against Brazil. It was rather quiet... It was our twelfth wedding anniversary.
And we went to the Grand Chapiteau to see Varekai. [ back to top ] |
