[ back to top ] Sunday, June 18, 2006 What happened? Months ago I started to mostly check my email on the Telus server because of the spammers. One guy in particular gets on my nerves with his religious newsletter he is sending me since last year. And to this day I have not been able to get rid of him even though I asked him to take me off his spam list. In the meantime I signed him up to all kinds of newsletters. I volunteered his name for German newsletters from newspapers, which are published daily, I tried to find free porn newsletters, that was not possible... I do hope his inbox is getting flooded on a daily basis though. The last newsletter he sent I forwarded apparently 15 times to everybody on the CC list. Oh yes, everybody's email address is readily available. The first lady already complained and she actually counted the emails she received. In the future I will keep on doing that and hope by annoying all his subscribers, that idiot will get the message. June 30: It took about a week until he sent me an apology and finally took me off his spam list. Subject chance: this morning I checked my emails and found 1000 messages in my inbox. They were all addressed to @calla......com. All different names and last names, but all to my photo domain name. I wonder if the host company has a virus on their server. Especially since that domain name has no email address published anywhere. But this sure concerns me as I was about to host another website of mine with them. As I am not yet Canadian, and oh, Canada is not part of the World Cup, I have to root for the Swiss boys. I had to check several times the score today and was pleased to see that the French did not beat them. Guet gmacht! [ back to top ] Thursday, June 1, 2006 I am totally exited... ...my car is ready to be picked up. I had to have the break lights fixed and an oil change done. Nothing major, but I had to rely on the bus yesterday and today on the way to the shop. What a drag! The Greater Vancouver transit system has some major flaws. One being a fare price of $3.25 to drive less than 2 km. It is considered 2 zones though because the bus drives across the bridge from Vancouver into Richmond. The next problem are the bus stops. Many have no schedule posted. I guess this is so we can not blame the drivers for being late. The fancy bus shelters that do not shelter from the BC rain or the sun for that matter. But apparently they sell advertising space. My car is ready and I am more than happy to see it back in my possession! [ back to top ] |
