Our Christmas tree...

...will not be photographed this year.
Christmas tree lights
I purchased our Christmas tree on December 22. I don't think I ever bought one that late in December. The entire outside lot of Mandeville Gardens was snowed in and frozen. This made it almost impossible to look at the trees as they were covered in snow.
The gentleman helping me every year asked me what he could help me with. I said that I am looking for a very small tree. He said that he has a couple of Charlie Brown's inside.
As I told Klaus what I purchased, he was not amused... He obvioulsy knows the story whereas I don't.

My plan was to write the Christmas cards while Klaus was running. But since it snowed during the night, there was of course no way that I would stay in while the city is covered with a blanket of snow. So I took the bus to Queen Elizabeth Park and shot a couple of images for the Christmas Magazine. Then I walked along King Edward over to Granville Street to the International Newsstand. Every year I go there to buy German and French Christmas editions of magazines. And then I took the bus home across the Granville Street bridge.

In the afternoon we walked across the Burrard Street bridge to go the movie house on 5th. We saw Slumdog Millionaire. The movie was not too bad even though it was rather violent.

Look who's in town..!

Santa

I have not yet had any to time to even think of Christmas. The shop is keeping me very busy and in the evenings I just feel like watching a bit of TV and go to bed early.

Vancouver Film School at Minuteman Press

Vancouver Film School
Yesterday and tomorrow again students of the Vancouver Film School are filming at my shop. They are producing one hell of a production even with camera rails being installed into the 400 sqft front office.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
