Dine out Vancouver is happening for the sixth time. Of course the Schönwandts are taking huge advantage..! Vancouver has become a paradise for food lovers over the past ten years. Not only do we have probably the best price value for sushi here, but we have any local or ethnic cuisine at our doorsteps. And the most important part is that everything is so very affordable. It's kinda like those sunsets [ back to top ] Wednesday, January 23, 2008 Famous for a day and not even noticing it... On Friday I posted an image of two roses as a thank you for Gabi. The day after I noticed that image is creating an enormous amount of page views and many people added it to their favorites. That's very uncommon with my pictures. It takes usually months to achieve one hundred page views. Today I took the time to read through the comments. And that's when I noticed that this image made it on the cover of January 19 of the Explore / Interestingness section! Wow, that is quite something seeing that Flickr now has over 1 million members. It of course is a great honour to have made it and share the stage with many great photographers. The photo is a favorite of mine nor is it one that made me happy when I saw it on the screen. I actually find it quite mediocre. Klaus however loves it and so do many others. [ back to top ] Tuesday, January 15, 2008 Blue Rodeo It has been a very long time since I have seen a concert that phenomenal! Those guys rocked The Orpheum last night. Beautiful songs, beautiful voices, beautiful music. Many years ago we have seen Blue Rodeo at the Railway Club playing for free. The catch was that one had to line up in the cold to get the tickets. Klaus plays poker. I just finished the images and HTML for this year's Advent calendar. On the right of the screen runs - what else - Aktenzeichen. It took me about 6 hours to do the work. [ back to top ] Monday, January 7, 2008 Just because it's legal does not mean it's ethical... Charging $31.22 in interest because I was short (obviously by mistake..!) $7.00 when I paid my last MasterCard bill about $1800.00 is highway robbery. So I had no choice but to yell at somebody.
